Heroes episode 11 “Fallout” Recap
I can’t believe what I just saw! “Heroes” is one great show.
There’s so many angles and cliffhangers from tonight’s episode (”Fallout”) that I don’t know where to begin. Well, how about this -
The fall of Eden. Sylar was caught by HRG’s team and was imprisoned in a cell where he can’t use his powers. Whoever Mr. Bennet talked to appeared to be giving orders to him. I knew it, HRG is not the topgun! His marching orders were to keep Sylar alive but Eden knew that was stupid, so she “persuades” him to take a gun and kill himself. Sylar uses his powers to break through the glass and was about to “extract” Eden’s brains out when she turned the gun on herself. We see blood exploding all over.
Claire owns up to her dad. She told him of her powers and he warns her no one else must know because “there were many others out there who want what you have and will hurt you to get it”. Mr. Bennet gets the Haitian to erase the memories of Zach (Claire’s friend) and Lyle (Claire’s younger brother). Supposedly, Claire’s memories were to be erased as well, but the Haitian tells her it’s important for her to remember. “Can you keep a secret?” - Can Claire keep a secret from her dad and pretend she’s forgotten?
The Peter Connection. Peter was brought in by the police for questioning about a cheerleader’s disapperance. Nathan pays him a visit and tells him that “life is bigger than you are”. Nathan tells Peter that he can’t save the world. “How can you stop what’s coming… when you don’t know anything about power?” And Nathan becomes Sylar!
Peter’s explosion. Later on, Peter gets a premonition/vision of him in New York. All the other heroes are running away from him. Even Claire mouths “I’m sorry”. Nathan walks towards him, and he starts to explode. He wakes briefly only to tell Nathan that it’s his fault. He’s the explosion. And then he stops breathing.
Hiro and the Dino. How the dinosaur fits into this show is beyond me! I kept wondering maybe it’s not a real dinosaur, maybe it’s a symbol of a predator that Hiro will fight someday. Which makes more sense, to me at least.
Tidbits. Jessica shot DL and hunts him down. In her mind she’s saving Micah from a criminal. In her rage, she throws Micah and hurts him. Jessica becomes Nikki and Nikki now realized that she can’t be trusted, so she turned herself in to police for murder.
Claire visits Peter in jail and was obviously impressed/relieved to find there are others like her. When she asked Peter why he saved her, he replied that he only knew he must, but he didn’t know why. As she was about to leave, Claire told Peter, “to me, you’re totally my hero!” ay-yayay!
Isaac, now sober and meeting with Hiro, realized he must save the world. He has begun to draw again, sober and painted a man exploding. And as always acting/looking like a comic (and I say this with good humor), Hiro asked, “how can you stop an exploding man?”

[…] There was one major episode - FALLOUT - but it sure was major and explosive. All the spoilers here, here and here talked about the same things - a hero will be lost and a bomb will nuke Manhattan. When the episode was over, I was so shocked and sad to lose Eden and find out the bomb might be Peter! But it seems the Haitian isn’t such a bad guy after all. In three weeks, we’ll all have some answers when “Godsend” shows up. […]
