Hiro gets Captain Sulu for dad
I wonder what it feels like having a Trecker for a father? Well, consider having this Trek star for a dad! Heroes’ Hiro will know. (I just love that play on names. Hiro. Hero)
E! Online reveals that Star Trek’s Captain Sulu, a.k.a. George Takei, will join the show as Hiro Nakamura’s dad beginning January 29.
“Hiro’s father is this big honcho who shows up in America with his bodyguard. He has this whole elaborate scheme to kidnap his son and take him back to Japan.”
“I just hope I get to say, ‘Dad! Sulu is my hero, not you!’ The sci-fi fans would love it!” Oka told TV Guide.
I guess even a hero has to contend with a meddling parent. Oh, I can’t help but think that these two are going to be hilarious and heartfelt. Actually, every episode Masi Oka gets in is both hilarious and heart-thugging. Now we have George Takei to double the fun. Just look at that face!
